THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS PERMIAN BASIN
ENGINEERING BUILDIGN

The LEED Certified, UTPB Engineering Building included three stories, with the first two floors finished out for current engineering programs. The third floor was shelled out for future engineering programs and faculty. Spaces within the building function as classrooms, faculty offices, lecture halls, student collaboration spaces and laboratories for mechanical, petroleum and aerospace engineering programs. The building is constructed with a steel frame and concrete structure atop a slab-on-grade foundation. Its exterior incorporates limestone, glass, and metal panels that are consistent with the design of other structures on both campuses. The project includes a 140-space surface parking lot for students and faculty vehicles.
