The new District Courthouse is a replacement for the existing facility built 35 years ago. The new building includes a 5-story, 158,000-sf courthouse with sheriff’s sally port accessible detention areas, courtrooms, jury assembly, courtroom in-custody holding, county offices, and records storage. Public access to the building is separate from secure sheriff’s access, and separate access for judges and other elected officials.
